Fuel Subsidy removal in Nigeria

Now that the fuel subsidy has been removed by the PPPRA (the regulatory body) in Nigeria , what does the future hold for Nigerians (especially the common man)? For example in a city like Lagos, while the Lekki residents and other stakeholders are complaining about the toll charges, they are now bogged down with the removal of fuel susbsidy which in some quarters, is believed to have been removed because of the 'cartels' in the oil sector.
These so called ' cartels' buy the pretroleum products at a
susbsidised rates and rather than selling them to the Nigerian masses, they export them through the porous borders and sell for a profit at neigbouring countries.
I just hope this fuel susbsidy removal would have a posotive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
