New month
It was my birthday a few day ago and for a change,I decided to take some annual leave but to stay at home and watch daytime tv but did I?NO! I was cleaning ,cooking, stuffing my face and sleeping.I had time to reflect on my life though.Finishing this book to start this book
The English weather has changed and it's getting worse. My polish neighbour came to borrow the electric heater as her boiler chose the wrong time to breakdown.Thank God we had a brand new one installed last summer. What would I have done?
Before my birthday, I think hubby was trying to impress me he had builders come to have a new kitchen fitted he forgot that someone had to cleat the mess they did clear the major mess but I had to slave away .The bathroom is going to be fitted too another wahala.Once its completed ,the next move would be to aim to complete another project and to enjoy the Olympics at least some events are going to be hosted at my doorstep.
Last quarter of the year .I'll be off to Yankee for thanksgiving then naija.

Fuel Subsidy removal in Nigeria
Now that the fuel subsidy has been removed by the PPPRA (the regulatory body) in Nigeria , what does the future hold for Nigerians (especially the common man)? For example in a city like Lagos, while the Lekki residents and other stakeholders are complaining about the toll charges, they are now bogged down with the removal of fuel susbsidy which in some quarters, is believed to have been removed because of the 'cartels' in the oil sector.
These so called ' cartels' buy the pretroleum products at a
susbsidised rates and rather than selling them to the Nigerian masses, they export them through the porous borders and sell for a profit at neigbouring countries.
I just hope this fuel susbsidy removal would have a posotive impact on the lives of Nigerians.

Aftermath
Now the 9ja elections has come and gone ( with a lot of issues and sadness though ). The inauguration has been done. The ex-speaker Dimeji Bankole has been arrested/invited for questioning by the EFCC as per the story behind the N10billion loan secured by the house. This guy might be found of no wrong doing as the new making the rounds is that he didn't benefit from the loan .
I hope all the promises made by the elected before the elections would be fulfilled.
Well let's wait and see the next 4 years

Long silence
It's been a long time since I blogged.I've had to deal with the illness and passing away of my dad.It hasn't been easy but I thank God
My boys gained admission to the school of their choice so they're off to big school in September.Hubby left for Hong Kong last week (lucky for some ei?) while I'm here clearing out the closet and other stuff.
I'm closely following the 9ja electoral process (a huge joke). If Jega needed time to get things ready then the election dates should be postponed all togethere not only 15 senatorial districts. This move could cause a lot of electoral malpractice.
It's a never ending movie sha.

Birthday & Snow!!!!
Yesterday 1st February was my birthday. Not that I had anything special planned but it was not a good one as I was in and out of hospital. Also, I didn’t get a card or a present from anyone in my house. I spent my birthday in bed! During the course of the day, my hubby said it was snowing but I didn’t take him serious but I later looked out the window and the whole place was covered in white snow blanket. That was Sunday night. On Monday morning, I was woken up by a phone call from my uncle who mentioned snow then I heard the boys and then dad talking and thinking loud I asked why they hadn’t been to school yet but my hubby said he had called the school and it’s closed for the day. I still didn’t look out the window but I called my colleague Abs who said she had called the office that she won’t be coming in. Then my I heard my sister’s voice downstairs she said she just came in form the station and she met a guy who said he had been waiting for a train for over an hour. My sister came back home and called her office likewise my hubby. Since I start work later in the day I didn’t think it would affect me. Logging on to face book, I had a chat with another colleague who said he couldn’t get a bus or train then I decided to look out the window. I even went down stairs to open the main door. It was snow every where. I put a call thorough to my office that I won’t be coming in. Although, I drive to work but not in this weather. About 7000 London buses were grounded today. Even the Mayor of London Boris Johnson said on BBC News that “it’s the right kind of snow but in the wrong kind of quantities”. Man proposes God disposes. On Wednesday, I put in a request to have Monday off since my birthday is on Sunday. My manager told me that it had been declined by the performance team. Later in the day, I bumped in to a performance team member who asked if my manager had sorted out the leave but I told her what she said. The lady now explained to me that it had nothing to do with them that the onus was on my manager. I felt bad and I wondered why someone who is training to be a pastor tells such a lie? But looking back at the turn of events today, got me asking is she God? I’ve got the day off anyway and there is nothing she can do about it. Also today was meant to be my last day on her team as I’m moving on to train for 8 weeks and start working in another team which is why I joined the organization in the first place.
